April LAN, LL98
3/30/2012
Sorry for the confusion but the April LAN (LL98) will be held on the 3rd Saturday, April 21st, from 3pm to 4am. We had to reschedule it because WTI administration would not be present to facilitate the event. Thank you for your understanding.

Internet access
2/4/2012
I want to inform all participants that starting at the next LAN we will be limiting access to many download and streaming sites. This decision is due to many complaints about slow network speed. If you would like to look over the current list of blocked sites you can check out the thread here. Also please remember to update any and all games BEFORE you come to each LAN. If you have any questions or comments feel free to talk to either myself or a host.

Age Restrictions
9/6/2011
Starting next LAN, we will be requiring all lanners under the age of 16 to have a parent or guardian present with the lanner while they attending. Lanners under the age of 10 will be reviewed case-by-case by Lanlordz staff members. This decision was made after a number of lans where younger lanners failed to follow Lanlordz house rules. Thank you for your understanding.

LAN Lordz 2011
1/10/2011
Talk about a great 7 years running!! LAN Lordz is starting off 2011 as strong as ever.
In February, we are going to be signing our new yearly waivers. Make sure to bring one signed by a parent or guardian if you are a minor. We're also going to be starting back up the quarterly raffle. Bring some extra cash to buy tickets for the prizes! They'll still only be $1.00 each or buy 5, get one free!
LAN Lordz is also planning a cookout of some sort at the March LAN. Make sure you come early and come hungry! We're celebrating 7 years of free gaming in the Wichita community. There may even be cake! Bwuahahahahahahahaha!
Let's make it another great 7 years of fantastic gaming!

Changes to LAN Lordz
7/22/2010
After a recent meeting with our hosts, we're making a few adjustments to how we run things at our LANs. First of all, we will be discontinuing the raffle prizes and tournament prizes for a few months. Our hosts have been extremely busy lately, and we feel like the prizes have been getting a little bit old. We will still have some door prizes from our sponsors, but that will be it for a little while.
Secondly, we've had a lot of trouble keeping the console room clean and disaster free. Because of this, we have voted to close the console room until further notice. Console players are still welcome to the LANs, but things will be a little different. You can use the regular PC rooms and either bring your own TV or ask a host to borrow a WTI TV. And you absolutely must bring headphones or mute the TV as we do not allow sound in the PC rooms.
Thirdly, a few of our upcoming LAN dates have been changed. Our August LAN will be on the third Saturday due to Quakecon. That makes it August 21st instead of August 14th. And the October LAN will also be on the third Saturday, so that we can make it an Extra Life LAN and raise money for children with cancer. This changes the October date from the 9th to the 16th. So, plan on coming to LAN Lordz on 8/21/10 and 10/16/10.
Fourth, we will be ordering some more LAN Lordz T-shirts, soon. If you would like one, please let us know. Post your shirt size and desired quantity in this thread. The prices are as follows:
Small to XL - $15.00
XXL to 5X - $18.00.
Fifth, we are still looking for one or two more new hosts. Please approach one of us at the LAN or check out the new host thread if you are interested.
And finally, we now have our official LAN Lordz FAQ and LAN Lordz House Rules posted for your edification.

LL68 Wrap-Up
10/11/2009
We had yet another awesome LAN this weekend. We broke our record attendance Saturday with 116 LANers at the LAN! Awesome job everyone! It's amazing that our numbers have grown so much in just a few short years!
We had some really great tournaments going on throughout the evening also...
Console Tournament:
One of our regular LANers, SN3AK, decided he wanted to host a Halo 3 console tourny, and we had a good turnout for the event. He will be hosting yet another console tourny at next month's LAN for Modern Warfare 2. Make sure you bring your controllers and your smack talk if you even want to think about winning!
Eviction Tournament:
We played Pocket Tanks for our single player tournament this month. Everyone had an amazing time trying to be the last tank standing, and the winner is now the proud owner of a Game Skullz tactical helmet. Congratulations go out to Zigian on placing first!
Team Tournament:
This month for our team tourney, we played Team Fortress 2. Talk about an amazing underdog story! Legion of Death and The Lost Vikings battled it out in the first round, and Legion of Death won, continuing to completely dominate the winners bracket. Then, The Lost Vikings went on to play in the losers bracket and made a fabulous comeback, coming out of nowhere to re-battle Legion of Death in the final round and taking first place right out of Legion of Death's grip! It was an incredible comeback and they are all now proud owners of some keyboard quivers provided by DustOff.
We would like to thank 3tek for hosting the dedicated servers for the event!
As for the regular LAN goodies, we still played all the normal games, and one of our hosts, Penut, provided hot dogs for everyone who got there early enough. We had a killer raffle again this month with some amazing prizes, and we're really looking forward to next month's LAN!
Thanks goes out to all of our new sponsors, as well as our regular sponsors! Penut has been doing a really incredible job keeping in contact with our sponsors, and actively seeking new ones! Without our sponsors and continued support from our LANers, we couldn't be as big as we are today! Thank you all so much and we'll see you at LL69 in November!
