My SSD is getting ready to bite the dust soon and it needs to be inoperable before G-skil will warranty it (Those Ass-hats). Can anyone suggest me a free backup software that will backup the SSD to another hard drive whenever there is a change to SSD? It needs to be totally automatic and be able to boot the back-up drive when the SSD decides to take a dive.

Dude just use windows back up and have it do a drive image every day using task scheduler and a script. Being bootable on the other hand is a different story... you could buy another SSD and mirror the current one. That way when it does go it will still boot, but it will tell you that the drive is bad.

Well, that's part of the problem. I cannot find any of these drives anymore. Gskill stopped making in favor of Sandforce controllers. This has a Barefoot controller. I really cannot afford any down time. I guess I could make an image and image a spare hard drive and then format the SSD still it wears out. :P Kind of unethical though...

What makes you think the drive is going anyway?

Well, it dropped the MBR 3 times already and that the system hangs for anywhere from 2-15sec. Also, a program called SSDLife reads the SMART data and says that it's at about 11% life left.
