LAN Lordz FAQ
1. When is the LAN? Normally, the LAN is held from 3 pm to 6 am on the second Saturday of the month. If there is any change in the LAN date, time, or venue, you will be notified via the website and email. 2. Where is the LAN? The LAN is at WTI. Here's the address: 2051 S Meridian Avenue, Wichita, KS 67213 There's a map on the events page. 3. Can I come? You must be at least 18 years old or have a guardian with you, but all are welcome. 4. How much does it cost? Nothing! We host a free LAN, made possible because WTI is very generous in hosting us. 5. What do I need? For gaming, the only thing you absolutely need is your CPU or console system. And, in the PC rooms, you must have headphones if you want sound. Most of the PC rooms have the peripherals provided. Room 103 does not. Here's a checklist of things you might want to bring: -keyboard -monitor -mouse -extra peripherals -digital camera -games -backup discs -ethernet and power cables -gear grips -cash for vending machines 6. How many seats are there? We're currently listing 130 seats, although we can have more people when the console room is open. 7. How do the prizes work? We usually offer some small door prizes, and everyone has a chance to win them provided they are present when the prize is given out around midnight. Sometimes, we also sell raffle tickets for some bigger, juicier prizes. The tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. The money we make on the raffle goes back into the raffle and tournament prizes. If you want raffle tickets, be sure to bring some cash or your checkbook. We can't take cards. 8. Is food or drink allowed? Yes, you can eat and drink at your station. However, we do ask that you clean up after yourself. If we have trouble with people leaving messes, we may have to disallow food and drink in the PC and console rooms. 9. It's a party! Can I bring alcohol? No, we do not allow alcohol at the LANs. 10. What else is not allowed? We do not allow drugs, weapons, explosives (e.g. fireworks), or speakers. 11. All lanners under the age of 16 have to have a parent or guardian present with the lanner while they attending. Lanners under the age of 10 will be reviewed case-by-case by Lanlordz staff members. |
